Ensign Ewart

Sergeant Charles Ewart of the 2nd (Scots Greys) captured the Eagle and Standard of the French 45e régiment de ligne at the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.

The captured items are now on display in the regimental museum of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in Edinburgh Castle alongside Sergeant Ewart's sword.
