Alexa Ewart, a 20 year old student from Harrogate in Yorkshire, was a contestant on the British version of the television quiz show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? hosted by Chris Tarrant.

On the programme broadcast on 29 November 2003, despite using all her lifelines early on, she somehow giggled her way to a prize of sixty four thousand pounds.

Alexa said that her grandfather had lent her some money to help her through university and that she would use some of her winnings to repay the loan.
